Hi!!
I love being outside and being creative, so naturally hitting the outdoors with my camera is one of my favorite things. Any camera gear I purchase has to fit in a backpack and will find itself on the back of mountain bike, in a kayak, hanging out the window of a car, dodging waves in the ocean, or wherever my creativity takes me. I like to take a different perspective on things, makes it more intriguing.
Traveling is a great adventure, but as you'll see in my galleries, often great pictures are close to home. Check out my painting with light photos that were taken in my living room. All you need is an idea and some patience.
My dream is for my photos to make a positive difference; maybe you'll be encouraged to explore a new destination, or to see the importance of preservation for now & future generations, or be encouraged to pick up your camera and try something new. Just like the story below.....
Last christmas I gave out packs of 10 photo cards to friends. It was so thrilling to see people's faces light up in appreciation. There's nothing quite like giving a gift unexpectedly. One of the receiptients of my cards, was a friend who had always wanted to get back into photography. A few days ago, she showed me a photocard she just made. It was a beautiful flower, perfectly framed and exposed!!. She was brimming with excitement, loved doing it, and can't wait to take more pictures and make more cards. All because I gave her some cards.......To me that is what it's all about. If I can inspire, motivate, encourage, or put a smile on your face, then I've achieved my goal.
