Quiet solitude

You'll see Great Egrets standing looking at the water, they're white whispy feathers blowing with every breeze. When they take flight, you understand their name. Beautiful....

Hiding in plain site

You'll see these birds wandering around with their neck tucked in. Outstretched they have quite a reach.
I held an injured bird and forgot about that extending neck. Much to the assistant's surprise, it reached out and tagged her on the nose from a couple of feet away. I thought it was amazing, she just reminded me to hold the bird:)
