A roaring creek near the side of the road provided plenty of photographic opportunities as well as time to just air out.
A beautiful view of the creek in the summer time. A great place to pause and enjoy the fresh air and smell of the forest.
This looks like a river, but it's actually a hiking trail after days of rain.
Another shot of the creek as it flows through the valley. Note that it's crystal clear.
You have to cross this creek as part of the trail. It's easy on the way out, but after several hours of hiking with a heavy pack picking your way back across is challenging.
I heard this waterfall from the dirt road, but couldn't see it. A short trek through some overgrowth and a little boulder climbing brought me to this hidden gem. Always an adventure, just have to remember you're in nature, not a controlled theme park. Tread lightly and respectfully.
