While this was a demonstration of a prescribed burn, the firefighters were all business & kept it under control. This gentlemen was keeping an eye on the fire line in front of the onlookers.

In a sea of brown pine needles and sand, these yellow flowers stand out quite well.

Had to grab a couple shots of this beautiful purple flower. I saw it while out walking around one afternoon. That's the joys of wandering with your camera; you always encounter something different.
