The Grand Canyon can be busy in places, but serenity is easily found with a little exploration. This trail began in a parking lot and had stunning views and not many people. The walk down was really easy, but the walk back up took a little extra.

I have always wanted to see the flowers of the Yankee Boy Basin and here is a shot on a cloudy day. They were beautiful.

I finally decided to do a photoassignment for smoke photography. Everyone noted that it was very difficult and it was harder than expected. Like most things though, a little help & perseverance made it work. This was shot using a flashlight from the side to light the smoke.
